this is my setup tell me what you think !!!???

ok im back again more dumb questins
ok
so i need some of ur guys input on my setup i want to run
i have infinty 5x7'sunder my dashpad
i have alpine tweeters and alpine 6 inch speakers built into the kick panel with the custom kick panel speaker molding (understand?..:P)
then i have two infinity 6x9's in the sail panels in the back seat or whatever
then in the future im going to be putting a sub box in the trunk well, i am going to use 10 inch subs but do you think i should run two subs or three subs? would 3 subs be way louder and pound harder?

money is not an issue

also is it a good idea to install an extra set of pioneer 6x9's into the sub box or ontop of it or sumthing, will it be louder?

ALSO what rband of amp/amps i may use two amps, should i use and how many watts????????

Sounds like a good system to me ya got goin. I would use 1 amp for your mid ranges(6x9s and 5x7s). Then I would use a another amp for just your subs. You could probably use 3 subs but you would have to build one massive box to have enough space for the subs to hit. I would just use 2 subs in a box, that should hit pretty good depending on what kind of subs you get. I myself like Kicker subs/amps and they sound pretty good when wired up right, but I have tried MTX and I really didnt like them at all. But I would ask around more to find out what kind of subs to use for sure. I like the Kickers myself and I would buy them again. I am going to put 2 12" Kicker Comps in my car but I just want something that will give me a bump in the car, nothing too loud. Good Luck on the system!

It's a good idea to keep your highs and mids to the front of the passenger compartment. It keeps the sound stage in front of you (as if you're listening to a band on a stage) The ideal location is in the kick panels like you have planned. Some audiophiles don't even bother with putting speakers other than subs in the rear because it "messes up the imaging for the sound stage." Since bass is omnidirectional, a woofer can actually be put anywhere, but the hatch area is ideal for a sub enclosure. A well made enclosure is key to good bass, a good one can make a piece of crap woofer sound very good and a bad one can make a high quality woofer sound like crap.

You can use one or two amps, it's up to you and how you want to set up the system. Myself, I have a single 5-channel amp (Memphis Belle) to run my whole system. It's a combination of Class A/B to the front and rear channels for sound quality, and a Class D mono block to the sub channel for efficiency built into one chassis. It delivers 1100 watts RMS to to the sub channel to drive a single 12" woofer rated at 1000 watts RMS (Memphis MOJO). That single 12" woofer is plenty loud when I want it to be. The rest of the amp delivers about 300 watts RMS to the front/rear channels.

Re: this is my setup tell me what you think !!!???

Sounds like your off to a good start...my suggestion would be to run a 4 channel amp on the 6x9 and the components...i would also run two 12's and run a good amp that will power both or run two amps like i did(not nessary but i had them laying around and just happen to match up well lol)

As stated above me the Memphis line is amazing...the MOJO sub is very high priced but is worth it. I personally run Crossfire Db3's and they pound very loud for being the lowest class Crossfire makes. I hit 137.4 db with them. I will be upgrading to either BMF's or a set of Memphis M3's tho. I want to go a lil louder(its addicting). Also as stated the 5 channel amp is just amazing...it also costs alot of money tho. It is deffinatly worth it tho. Only down side is that its HUGE...its VERY long...last one i saw was in a ford focus and it took the whole width of the back hatch. It pounded the subs and speakers so perfectly tho.

Yes it's possible, but why all those speakers?

If money is truly no object take it to a professional shop and let them set your car up correctly. You don't need a gazillion speakers.

Re: this is my setup tell me what you think !!!???

I'd say get a mono amp for the subs (2 subs) and like a muti channel amp to run the 6x9's. So two diffrent amps not saying you couldn't do it with one just what i've seen work. I find a good rule is that if your looking for deep bass then 12" is what you want not saying that 10" don't kick they just don't kick as hard or deep but it's more about the setup. You can have the best subs in the world and if you have a cheap amp, bad wireing or something they will suck. I'm currently doing my first sub set up cause I got a great deal on two 10" subs off a friend ($20 for both, never been open, there about $70 each). I totaly back you up on doing it yourself cause install places will cut corners.

Re: this is my setup tell me what you think !!!???

I agree on doing as much of it yourself as possible. I've done plenty of setups in a few different cars. Never in one of our third gens though, mostly in small compacts. (crx, civic, civic hatch, and a scion xa) I've been happy with most of mine. Both MDF and fiberglass enclosures. But like 88TransAmFreak said above, you really don't need a gazzillion speakers to have to sounding great. Make sure your tweeters are aimed well, and remember to setup your EQ on your headunit if you don't have an external one. Make sure your sub enclosure is solid, and check into how you can wire them. If you check on the Crutchfield website they have a pretty detailed wiring "how to"
I'm sure it'll turn out great, just remember to do things right and how you want them. Keep us posted, maybe put up some pictures of your progress?
