Help installing new sound system

Ok i kno this is a camaro message but right now im working on my jeep and i hope someone can help any...... i am hooked up an amp to the stock system and amp powers on correctly but once i hook up speakers to the rca wire adapter nothing happens but when i turn the bass nob all the way up it just booms at a constant pace.. any ideas?

do u have a remote wire hooked up? and is the amp grounded properly. also double check all of your connections and make sure + is connected to + and - to -.

start there.
