Well I was thinking that I want a sub, I do not want it to be visible though. I currently have a 600 watt amp in the spare tire well to power my current speakers. What I was thinking of doing is taking that amp, and putting it under the card bored box storage area lockbox on the driver side. Then getting a self powered sub like this one and putting it into the spare tire well. Would it sound good though? Would it be worth it?

I don't think it would rattle that much, Its not that powerful of a sub. I just want my music to sound richer and fuller inside the cabin. when people are putting two 10s with 1000 watt amps with out dynomat, then I should be able to put in one 10" 200 watt...

true....but i have 2 1000w 10" woofers and it rattles the living hell out of everything but yeah if its only 200watt...idk it might not rattle that much but i think it might just a bit...but its not gonna be ((booming))...
but i think your just looking for a more crisp sound right? shouldent be a problem then...

It doesnt "have" to rattle,and if it does you could get urself some of that sound deadening material like dynamat, raamat, second skin.etc.
I wanted to put mine there, cuz having it out just rattles the rearview and everthing else.Not that my sub is tooooo powerful but bass tends to get ampplified by the interior of our cars.So I would play with it see if that makes the bass less noticeable.

It always amazes me that our cars are SOOOOO good at bass reproduction with the speakers in the RIGHT place, yet GM didn't bother to put any speakers in the rear plastic where the hatch could help with the bass alot. Instead they put the speakers in places that don't allow good bass reproduction at all. Meaning crappy sound even out of good speakers.
Yet a single 8" with a good amp in the rear hatch area, can provide plenty of bass for a car.
I'm looking for stealth box designs as i've seen them posted before and I am planning on putting either a 8" or 10" on one or both sides of the rear behind the plastics and will be adding sound deadening to the plastics to reduce rattles.
I put a 10" Bazooka RS series down in rear sump and it makes amazing bass. I once had a friend describe it as "rediculous" that I got that much bass out of one 10" sub. Positioned right, you can do a lot without having to drop in huge subs.

No I didn't get around to it yet, and I don't know if I am going to do it anytime soon. My car already sounds pretty good, and I have got a lot of other things I want to buy for the car first. I need new tires for the back, and the ones I have are not cheap ($170 a tire!) So I guess at least I will not be doing it any time soon.
but yeah if its only 200watt...idk it might not rattle that much but i think it might just a bit...but its not gonna be ((booming))...
