I have a 1990 iroc vert and the rear speakers are in need of replacement. I have a few questions; Do I need to remove the panel to get to the rear of the speaker or is there some trick out there that I'm not seeing? Is it a pain in the butt to remove? Is there a direct replacement out there aftermarket? What size are they? I would like to reuse the orginal covers, and use 6X9, is that possible? Thank you in advance...Mike

hey there i used 6x9 in my 92 and my 84 but iam sure there all the same !
to get the cover off you have too unscrew the hook at the top of the spaerker cover
it a really long star head screw.
then lift up on the panel it should come right off homie ! good luck !
just do eveything in reverse to put it back together !
my 89 formula 350 had one rear speaker blow i replaced both rear with:
Alpine SPR-69C 6"x9" 2-way Car Speakers
they are direct replacements and fit the bracket that are in my sail panels. they sound like typical 6x9 so dont expect a huge improvement. they are better than stock but not astoundingly so.
