WOW!! Elemental Designs makes excellent subs and amps. I've heard that the subs are very sensitive regarding the air space (Cubic foot) of the boxes you run them in. In my opinion, an excellent choice of equipment.

Re: subs in 85 camaro

the box will be a direct fit box into my rear well. it will have the recomended 65cf per side. ive been thinking of relocating my battery to the glove box area of the back of my car. if i do that it would make both the power and ground cables significantly shorter for the sound system (not doing it specifically for the system). i think that amp is rated to handle the subs. but i wanted to be sure. heres a link to the head unit ill be using. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_099CD72...clipse&tp=5684

i have an eclipse cd3100 in my civic now. it sounds amazing. ive had that head unit for about 4 years now.

Hey man, if you want a GREAT site for audio installs check this out:

http://www.diymobileaudio.com

There is a HUGE amount of installs featuring elemental Designs products. You have to create a profile to access the photos but it's free for the base site access. Just some food for thought!

Re: subs in 85 camaro

Ed make good subs but their cust service absolutely sucks. The Ed amps are prone to blowing. Many complaints on car audio forums.

Cadence make good inexpensive amps. As for subs, have a look at Stereo Integrity. They run about $250. Also, Image Dynamics, JL Audio (JL3), Fi, SSA Icon, the list goes on.

If you tell me how much sq.ft. you have for each sub we can go from there. I could see on the qlogic website.

You need to figure out a budget for the amps and subs as well as what you want (spl, loud-n-proud, sound quality).
