But when i go over a major bump it comes on . also i have a 10in audiobhan i know iknow but it only works when i have the negitive cable from the sub( it has 4+ and 4-) touching itself, sobasically when its grounded to itself. any help woulld be great.

Can you explain this a little more clearly? You say it only works if you take the negative speaker cable and touch both sides to the speaker? I would verify that the Amp + is direct to the battery, the Amp negative cable is grounded properly within 18 inches of the amp, and the remote wire is connected properly. Then if you are running the amp bridged, make double sure you have the speaker wires connected to the proper terminals.

Re: Amp cuts on and off and sub has to be grounded to itsef???

If you are correct in saying that all the wires are correct then it sounds like internally the amp may be bad. If everything wiring wise is perfect and the amp still doesnt work inless you hit a bump the board might have a loose connection or something to that sort. And im not sure what your saying about only negative on the sub. Like said above be a lil more clear on that one.

...Its possible you have the sub wired wrong and are giving the amp a wrong load. You did say it wasnt going into protect mode tho. Some amps wont go into protect if you mess up wiring and some will.

might the cable going to the sub be clipped? like some of the wire is exposed at some part and is touching metal... i had that problem in mine, there was a small tear in the rubber of my speaker wire and it was touching the door panel. it would short out the amp and would go into protection mode, it sounds like u have a similar issue
