I have a pair of infinity 6"s and i am trying to shove them in the dash.I already hacked my ducts but i removed my A/C and heater core so i'm not trippin.they fit fine but i'm having a problem with the clearance to the dash pad.I have no room to go down so if anybody has any info it would be highly appreciated.

take a look..that'll get rid of all clearance issues...if you dont want the speaker to show you can screw under instead of on top..and use speaker cloth..possibilities are endless =]

couldn't wait. I ended up shimming the dash and the 6's clear just fine.I put the tweets 1 next to the fog light switch in the trim piece that angles in towards the driver and same spot on the opposite side.Sounds extremely good. much better than the phenix gold 4x6's i had in there.I'll post a pic tomorrow.thanks for the tip though.looks good for a no fabber.OH and i just finished my well box from the dimmensions on the sticky and covered it with gray marine vinal.now it's ready for my JL W3s 12's oh yeah.
SQ ppl recommend keeping ur tweets and midbasses as close as possible,so that they can play "on axis",and the sound can "feel" more real.(just throwing it out there if u wanna experiment with more locations) the more you can keep you speakers in front of u and facing u(pointing at you),the better.
maybe some 4"s..whatever fits there pretty much....I'd like to put some speaker cloth over it so that the sound can come out more easily...not sure I wanna give up my AC though...rarely use it...
