Audiophile bass in a vert?

I'm looking to upgrade the sound system in my 92 T/A convertible, and I'm looking for more of an audiophile sort of bass response than anything else. I'm having some trouble deciding what/where to put a sub. I've been thinking about enclosing both sides of the trunk (where the compact spare normally lives and its counterpart on the driver side) and using either Pioneer 8 or 10 inchers, since the rest of my system is Pioneer. How well would something like this work? I plan to only put a bridgeable amp in for the subs at possibly 300W.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance,
TT

Re: Audiophile bass in a vert?

James,
That is true..... but that doesn't mean that I won't endeavor to attain as close to audiophile quality as I can. I believe I have attained it in the high and midrange part of the spectrum, but not in the low frequencies. And so the question remains...... are subs in the distal ends of the trunk on a convertible the way to go, or is there something better?

Thanks,
TT
