so i am thinking of getting these speakers http://cgi.ebay.com/POLK-AUDIO-DB650...item3ef77c5483
and im wondering what a good amp would be to power them. so far the only thing in my car is a pioneer DEH-P410UB headunit.
wow that actually not a bad price at all. go with any name brand 4 channel, personally id go with a sony small profile truck amp... they measure something like 7x7x1.5, think they are 50rmsx4
I'd go with an alpine.
I have a mrp-f450.You could probably pick up one used for around $100 on ebay.
Great lil amp.Runs cool,Real quiet (no noise),Bass is strong, highs are crisp.
Not a Mcintosh but it does what its supposed to.
I had four pioneer speakers in the factory locations and one 12" JL audio sub in a small box that fit into that space under the hatchback, and I powered ALL of it with a 400 watt Pioneer amplifier...with the sub output bridged, too, and it sounded excellent....but I am not a fan of HUGE BASS that shakes houses across the entire frickin' neighborhood, so I was happy. It sounded dang good while I was in my car, and that is all that mattered to me. It was loud enough to annoy the crap out of people, too, if I wanted to turn it way up.
