Barry White and Marvin Gaye is usually playing, if I'm ticked off though, Disturbed, Seven Dust, or maybe some DJ Tiesto. I accidently erased Darude off my Ipod so I can't listen to that anymore.

Nothing beats "sexually healing" or "let's get it on". It also depends where you are in your car. Hearing these songs in the backseat, for some reason, sounds better!

SO? Does the stereo sound better in an Escalade? I upgraded mine and the components in back sound better than the 4X6's in front. I don't see what you are trying to say?

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?

I usually listen to metal in my TA. I'm down for any type of metal - death, black, speed, thrash, power, progressive, doom, stoner metal, metalcore, and crossover genres mixing elements of any of those listed above. Sometimes I'll listen to rock, mostly hard rock. I need to get some Alice in Chains, I think their music goes well with our cars.

Would you consider Sevendust metal? I think their song "black" is metal and nothing else really. Also, what do you classify Journey and Creed? I wouldn't say I'm into metal, just upbeat songs.

You're thinking of 'Commander Cody And His Lost Planet Airmen'.
That's pretty obscure even by my standards but it's available on iTunes.

Quite a few albums. Very popular up in the Great White North.

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?

Well in general I listen to almost anything really. but most commonly its rap or hip hop. I have 2 10's in the back, a 2000W amp, and 6x9's in the back. yes I get alot of stares or laughs, but I have heard alot worse around here lol. I also like metallica, linkin park, stuff like that. IMO listen to what you like, not what others wanna hear. I dont care what they think I am who I am

OHH YEAAH!! i almost forgot, I like to listen to old old oldddddd music, like 60's 70's maybe even earlier, or just weird *** stuff (search hippopotomus with noodles on his back) just because people stare, laugh, and I just love the reactions when people look over and see a young guy, or young people with that kind of music on. so much fun in the summer with the windows down! try it you'll see

ANY Rock, from classic to post hardcore, i listen to all rock/metal yes including scream-o

i just cant stop listening to Escape the Fate(first album only) and Stick Stickly from Attack Attack!

the only Rap that gets played in my car are songs like Nightmare on my street and all the classic funny rap songs

i also do country, because i was raised on it and until the age of 6 i had no idea there was any other type of music

Anybody here listen to Jackson Browne? He's kind of a soft rock/70's pop artist.

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?

Recently. Lita Ford, Aldo Nova, Jemina Pearl, Kate Earl, and Gaga (the video to Bad Romance knocks me out!) Later, maybe some Status Quo and/or O'Jays. Oh, the new Norah Jones is gorgeous--but like Kate Earl, not car music.

If you like Quo, maybe give a listen to Slade and Golden Earring as well.

I'm a big fan of the O'Jays, as well as Temptations, Stylistics, Spinners, Kool and the Gang as well as Earth, Wind and Fire.

Re: What kinda music are you listening to?

Metal here...
My favorite bands/ones I listen to most are:
Dokken (fav. guitar player:George Lynch)
Lynch Mob
Ratt
Whitesnake
TNT
Racer X (Paul Gilbert)
All That Remains (killer band, kinda local-from Mass.)
Anthrax (old)
Dream Theater (Images&Words and Awake)
Fates Warning (No Exit, Parallels, etc)
Fear Factory (Archetype)
Queensryche (any pre-Empire)
Shadows Fall (killer band...used to jam w/ the drummer-he lives close by)
Testament (Alex Skolnick-cool dude, phenomenal player)
Vicious Rumors
Threat Signal (newer band, sound excellent)
Skid Row (pre Slave to the Grind)
Ozzy
Great White (bluesy metal/rock at its finest)
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Lamb Of God (Chris Adler's drumming is a real highlight here)
Megadeth
Metallica (Justice and earlier)
Van Halen
Zeppelin
Tony MacAlpine
Joe Bonamassa (very talented)
Steve Vai
Death Angel
Yngwie Malmsteen (awesome...in small doses.lol)
Crimson Glory
God Forbid (great band out of Jersey)

can anyone tell I'm a guitar player?...and in my mid 30's? lol
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of music I and my band have created. Almost studio time again.
