ok so i got ttops and thinking about putting subs back there but where am i going to put my tops when i pop them off? Do yall just put them on your back seat.....Or is there a custom box that allows you to store your tops while still having your subs back there???
what do you have for subs or what are you looking to put in? I was able to fit a single good quality 12" in the lower half of the well while still putting out a pretty good amount of bass. t-top bag fit like factory and even covered up most of the sub from prying eyes

I have two 12's with 2000 watts and there is no way in hell I would put anything over top of them... Soo yes my answer is that I put them in the back seat... haha
'Back in the day' I had two twelves with grills in the back of my 83 and my 87. I ran two tens in my 84. In my 91 Firebird I ran a pair of Kicker Solobaric 8's in a box so small it fit down at the bottom of the well. I'll tell you right now, those 8's hit just as hard if not harder then the larger subs. In fact most people thought I was running 10's or 12's before I popped the hatch. That's my answer if you don't like the idea of grills, run smaller higher quality subs in a tiny box that doesn't take up the entire well.

Assuming there are grilles to fit. There isn't one for my sub, at least when I had it installed, there wasn't one available. I've done like Dan with a single 12" that fits down in the well, but I also have a carpet covered steel grate that covers the whole box and amp and looks almost like the factory hinged cover.
@Al man thats a really good job did you do that yourself? and what does it mean to put it in the "well" just the bottom self explanitory part? lol just wanted to make sure...

Actually, I had that built for the car, it's made of MDF and fiberglass molded to the contours of the well. Instead of fitting flush with the deck of the cargo area, it sits down a few inches, then the metal cover fits flush with the rear deck.
Well, I dont have t-tops but what I do, is, I have 2 10's, in a smaller box, and i put them face down in the well, the box is small enough to fit down there, but too big to go all the way to the bottom, so it has clearance down below and around the sides. I have that with a 2000 watt amp, and an EQ and a pioneer stereo, and it is one of the hardest hitting systems I have heard from 2 10's when i want it to be, i can set off car alarms if i try. But face down i dont have to worry about putting anythng on top of them. At one time, i had my brothers old truck box, it fit perfectly along the back of the seats on the top part, and sat even with the top of the seats. it almost looked factory, but it didnt hit as hard even though the box was so much bigger.
