Infinity BassLink Subwoofer

Anyone used this sub in a third gen or anything else?

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-BassLink.html

Main reason I've shied away from a sub in my third gen is size, however, that one is quite small, and would quite easily bolt in somewhere. Infinity is a good brand, it's a Class D amp so it doesn't use much power, and, it's a 10", so it should go low enough.

Anyone used it? Any recommendations?

I'd rather have the spare tire, but, I was thinking of putting it in that cargo hole in the back. Or, as my father and I call it, simply, "The Hole".

I need to replace pretty much every clip back there though, the previous owner broke them. Else, rattling will be the only thing I hear.

I out one in my Subaru, sounds great. Just what I wanted. I think I'll put one in my camaro. It's not a dual 12 system. But it definitely is noticeable

Re: Infinity BassLink Subwoofer

I have been threatening to purchase one for a couple of years. I use all infinity kappas everywhere else and I was going to put it inside my rear panel behind the rear wheel wells. I would have to use the drivers side since my battery is in the passenger back. Everything else Infinity sounds AWESOME. I install them in the factory bose enclosures and they sound perfect. Like you, I have noticed a need for a little more bass and due to a lack of space a 10 inch basslink would probably fit the bill. If nothing else I was going to wire it where I could place it on the back seats and unwire it in a few seconds for when I need the room or place it permanantly inside the rear panels.

Re: Infinity BassLink Subwoofer

I plan on all Kappa. I have the standard 4 speaker option. But only two installed. I have Old 6x9 the ones with the lightweight "rare earth magnets" in back. They always sounded great . I have the entire b pillar packed with poly. I feel it helps keep it sending like it's coming from a tin can. If I recall correctly, when these two were amped with around 100w rms, they "hit" good. Many thought I had subs in the back. I also once put a Cheap sealed 10 in the back and it also sounded great. Our cars dont need a lot to sound great. I think a basslink in rear cargo area would be fine.

I have seen an heard several with dual 12. That's too much I feel.

My latest idea, is a kenwood 450watt amp. Asymmetrical with 60 x 2 and 100watts x2

Use the 60 for front Kappa 4x6 and the 100 for rear 6x9 then add a basslnk
