I have a Bel Signature Series S83i I enjoy it a lot, although it rattles when I turn the bass way up. Anyway, I have never had a VG2 or SWS alart. Laser on the other hand... our Staters sometimes use laser. The time i most remember was crusin' home in my Camaro I had the front plate off late at night and my detector goes nuts saying Laser! I slow a bit, I was only going 65 in a 60 zone in the carpool lane w/ 2 other people in the car with me. Anyway, it was kinda weird cause the cop seemed to have problems getting me because the detector kept going off over and over. Oh well... but yeah, most cops use radar... good for us!
Later,
RS

I had a couple ambulance alerts on my old Whistler. I miss that detector. Somebody stole it. I recently bought a K40 ($$$$$$) and it is a worthless sack of ****.

There was one in my Trans Am when I bought it. Don't know what the brand is. It trips every once in awhile by traffic lights but has never chirped when a cop is nearby.

I don't trust it and do not rely on it. I'll try to remember to check the brand & model of it (but, I think it is kinda old)

I have the Passport 7500 ny escort. It was pretty expensive but I like it. Itt has saved me more than one. I'vr gotten several SWS messages on it, from nearby train to road hazard. Seen laser come up only twice, on time i was 5 over, in that instance it didn't help at all, but wasn't pulled over so didn't matter. Though cops do like to follow me. I think its the combo of the car itself, the radar detector and the tail light blackout, anyways im off the subject.

I saw a VG-2 message tonight, but i saw no cop!
I noticed the guy infront of me either had a radar or a jammer, could that of set the VG-2 off.
Anyhow also today, i was goin 55 in a 35, Ka flashes up, i SLAM on my brakes until i reach about 38 then a little down the road there he was...
The first really close call, I love the Uniden LRD767! I barly get false alarms also, which suprised me.

When your detector has VG-2 that means the cop has a radar-detector-detector, so they can tell if you have a radar detector. The new models not only tell you if they have on, the detector shuts down for 30 sec. so the cop doesent know.
