Is this legit?
Hi All.. This is from my newly purchased 1985 IROC. I don't recall seeing yellow lights before.... Is this legit?

Re: Is this legit?
I seem to remember early Cavaliers having yellow displays. Not saying that's where the radio is from, just saying I remember seeing them.

The car is inbound from Michigan to me in Raleigh NC... Once it gets here I'll pull it out and check the date and part number. I did buy the one you mentioned. Ebay, with the aux jack mod. :-)

in 1985,display type and color depended on the radio model-AFAIK,up through 84 f-body were all yellow LED except rare pontiac red LED units. Some 1985 up radios came with blue VFD display with lower-end models using the yellow LED through~1986. The 1993 camaro radio is blue VFD with a red filter to appear yellow.

I was starting to worry about my purchase... Didn't get to kick the tires! Thanks 8t2! I really appreciate it!

Do you feel that the radio comforts your very soul? If so then it MAY be a cavalier radio....
