Symptoms of a blown sub????

Well, I tried hooking up a sub to my amp. All that happened was buzz when it hit. It sounded like a really loud plastic vibration. Does this sound like a blown sub? Or is it something that can be fixed? I hooked up another sub exactly like that one and it sounded great, no buzz. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Its fried, you cant fix a blown speaker. Well you probably can if you have the same tools they used to make it.

you can fix a speaker, but its not worth it. It will just blow again. I suggest just upgrading to a 4 ohm sub

Impendence has nothing to do with it. The sub is probably gone, and cannot easily be fixed.
