I am from the Rio Grande Valley and almost all of us hear tejano and stuff like that....but....I like corridos... do you all know what a corrido is? It is a song that tells a story about pistoleros ( mafia ) or about drug lords and dealers....its like a story in a song...they talk about how the DA is crooked and stuff like that.... so in order for my personal listening I like to listen to
1. Beto Quintanilla " El Mero Leon del Corrido "
2. Ramon Ayala "El Rey del accordion "
3. Luis Y Julian " El Viejo Paulino "
4. Los Cadetes de Linares ( que chinge a su madre!! )
5. Los Invasores de Nuevo Leon
if you want to get the ladies in a romantic mood you can play some Vicente Fernandez, Pepe Aguilar or Luis Miguel, its works sometimes.....( so I've been told )
other than that I listen to rock stuff while crusing...
my favorite racing or hauling a$$ cd has to be Smash by the OffSpring! That cd kicks! Other stuff includes Ozzy, ZZ Top, Lynrd Skynrd, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, and stuff like that.....
Well since down here we also listen to spanish pop...like Moenia, Caos, Mana, Enanitos Verde, La Ley (awesome), Soda Esterio, Paulian Rubio, and Thalia.....
but I have no radio in my GTA so I don't listen to any thing right now!!!! LOL!!!

I'm rather diverse in music, so everything kinda makes my top 5... er, 6... I couldn't decide on only 5...

4. I Don't Wanna Cry - Mariah Carey - Amazing female vocals on the whole album... back from 1990 when she gave a damn...

2. Something in the Way She Moves - James Taylor - something about great acoustic music that makes the hair on my neck stand up. You can almost feel the fingers pulling on the guitar strings...
1. Gold Dust Woman - Fleetwood Mac - My favorite singer, Stevie Nicks (singer, song writer) along with one of the best song writers and pop icons, Lindsey Buckingham, took "The Mac" to the top. When they got back together several years ago, the magic returned... snif... :hail:

4. Patiently waiting- 50 cent
3. Du Hast - rammstein

The heaviest, best thing to get you going just before you drive is the interlude between Postmortem and Raining Blood, by Slayer. Dave Lombardo beating on that tom and the sound of the rain...that's where it's at my friends.

I can't narrow it down to five but here's a few
Motley Crue - Kickstart my heart/wild side
anything by Lynyrd Skynyrd
anything Metallica

I'm 22 and was pretty much raised on all classic rock. Although I do enjoy most types of music classic rock is definitly my favorite. The late 60's, 70's and even the early 80's was when music was MUSIC.
