1. Lamb Of G*D ( it does the *** for g o d)
2. Six Feet Under
3. Pantera ( r.i.p. darrel )
4. Sepultura/ Soulfly
5. Tool

There's nothing inherently wrong with rap music, but a lot of it does annoy me. Usually because it is getting blasted by a couple of suburban punks in a cobbled together import at the light next to me. That doesn't mean those kids are trying to be black. It means they have bad taste. Yeah, maybe 30 years ago rapping was sort of an underground part of black culture, but now the fact is that hiphop and rap are the fastest growing sectors of the music industry. Who's buying all those CDs? It's just become more music at this point, and it all boils dow to taste, and as a great person once said "there's no acounting for taste".

On a side note, what's with Gwen Steffani turning into a hiphop diva? She was so much hotter when she was a semi-tortured ska girl.

List of 5 Hiphop/Rap Songs (not necessarily top 5, but 5 good ones)

5.) The Way You Move - Outkast
4.) Get It Started - Black Eyed Peas
3.) Brass Monkey - Beastie Boys
2.) Cowboy - Kid Rock
1.) Lose Yourself - Eminem

there's a LOT of good music up here...a LOT, some bad too, but that's ok, everyone has their own prefrances. i love my music, so i can't narrow it down to songs...just bands..and in no particular order...

Rockin' stuff:

Megadeth
Metallica
Pantera (rip dime)
BLACK SABBATH
OZZY OSBOURNE
AC/DC
Chimira (heavy, but kickin')
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden
Led Zeppelin
Disturbed

lighter stuff for the ladies:

Incubus
Dispatch (really light, but great to chill to...and if you can sing...well, let's just leave it at "wow"...just look into it )
Maroon 5 (pop...but again, if you can sing..."wow")

i know there's a lot there, but it's all good stuff

I can't even choose 5 overall, but I'll just list a few.

Taste of Ink - Used
Matchboox Romance - My Eyes Burn
Good Charolette - Bloody Valentine
Marylin Manson - The Beautiful People
Slipknot - Pulse of the Maggots
The Doors - Riders on the Storm
Rammstein - Du Hast
Lynard Skinard (sp?)- Freebird
Metallica - Whiskey in the Jar

Umm....... I love the entire soundtrack to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Too bad I wasn't born sooner to witness more of the 80's (born in 87)

I also like pretty much any Rock. so Yeah.

Emo Kids and Head Bangers unite!!! (That would be a disturbing sight)

Ditto on Whiskey in the Jar.

Did you know that song is an old Irish folk song? I heard it on an album of stuff my mother brought back from her trip to the Emerald Isle. I nearly wet myself laughing. The words are the same, but the music is a little different. Funny stuff.
