Performer RPM V.S. Weiand Stealth

I have edelbrock 600cfm carb on my L69 305 and am about to do a intake swap. I am currently running a performer 2101 intake but I am looking for a little more power. I have heard good things about both the RPM and Stealth manifolds are ethier one intakes worth the swap over the performer? I also may be switching to crate motor soon. As for mods the car is stock except for Hedman hedders and hooker catback with high flow cat converter.

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

IMO, keep the Performer and put in a camshaft that will match the header/intake/stock head combo, like an XE250 or XE256 Comp Cam or LT4 GMPP roller cam ($150 ish). You'll get MUCH more bang-for-the-buck that way, believe it or not.

That intake can support a 350hp 350cid motor easily and should be able to handle your 305 quite well.

Exactly....the only major advantage from the Performer to the RPM is that you mover the power range up 1000 RPMS.

Check out this article I have scanned up on my page. Here. It dynos a LG4 305 w/ headers and compares the Performer directly to the Performer RPM on pages 1 and 2. The RPM picked up 15-20 hp and nearly 10-20 ft-lbs over the regular Performer across the rpm range. And that is with the extremely weak LG4 cam, not your hotter L69 cam... For the ~$120 bux that isn't bad. That's not to say the new cam idea isn't a good one. While you have the intake off I would also throw in a slightly hotter cam...

I agree the RPM is better than the performer all around

------------------
I WOULD RATHER PUSH A CAMARO THAN DRIVE AN IMPORT

1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package , dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, ASCD SS hood, 16" IROC rims.

future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames, Hurst shifter, dakota digital gauge package, procharger supercharger.
