What I CAN tell you is how to check proper accelerator pump functioning. Same for every carb. Look down the primary barrels (excuse me, in your carb's case BARREL, singular- since yours is a progressive 2-barrel design) of the carb. Open the throttle by hand. you should see a needle-sized steady stream of gas shoot out from the side and break against the booster venturi in the middle of the main venturi. If the stream is weak, intermittent, or has a bunch of bubbles or air in it, you friend could be right. |
