I made the switch from tbi to carb a while back, but since then the car will die one time after i drive about five minutes. I'll turn the key off for thirty seconds or so then the pump will prime again and the car fires right up. I've read on here that there's a wire to hook up to the fuel pump between the back seats or something along those lines. I know my pump isn't going out because it only does this once in the morning on my way to class. how do i fix it or should i just invest in a holley red and put a regular pick up in the tank.
i think you need to bypass the relay so its always running when the key is on i think thats what the wire is your talking about...how you like the swap??
i love the swap i gained a sh!tload of power from it. the only draw back is this damn thing keeps dying on me in the mornings and im tired of it. plese let me know which wire it is i need to hook up to a constant.
what mods have you done?
i am in the middle of the swap right now getting the carb intake torqued down.
how do you bypass the fuel relay so that it is on when the key is on?
