I am wondering where I can find information on my rochester quadrajet carbuator. I want to know what jets/rods it has, what CFM rating it is. I have my carb number it is: 17080213 under above number is: 1504 CPX Anyone know anything about the 630 CFM qjet ? I am intrested in finding one of these. Thanks, Dan

The only difference between the "630 CFM" Q-Jet and any other, is that there's a little metal tab on the secondary air valve that keeps it from opening all the way. It's entirely possible that the one you have includes this "feature".

Take it apart and look at the jets & rods. They're marked, you can find the sizes alot easier that way than trying to find a listing of all that stuff for a carb number, and then hoping that yours is still original (not necessarily so if it's ever been rebuilt).

I've heard diffrent things.. like diffrent bore sizes, venturi sizes. But it is just the restrction of airflow ?

I am wanting to jet my carbuator that came off a 350 for a V6 motor i have it on now. It runs rich. So I guess all i need is smaller jets/rods.

The cc Q-jet is configured for 630 cfm.

Non-cc Q-jets came in two different sizes. 740 and 800 cfm.
Maximum air flow is controlled by how far the secondary air
valve is allowed to open under full throttle.

I think I have a q-jet from a v-6 motor in the basement, I'll
take a look and see if I can find some jet and rod sizes.

So, there were only cc 630 qjets ?

I belive, the only V6 motors the qjets came on were the buick 3.8's. And late 70's they were non cc.

Jeff, i would be intrested in those jet/rods. Or the whole carbuator itself if ur willing to part with it.

Or if you can get me me the jet/rod sizes, that would be great. Do u know what V6 it was on ?
