tuning speed demon carb bg insructions

i watched the tuning video as well read the manual and have found somthing on mine that has me a little worried.....

it says in the video that with the primary butterflys closed that there should only be a slight purtrusion of the fuel feed that looks like a line inside the bore......

it's supposed to look like a small square but it has a 1/8 line on mine due to the fact the choke is keeping the flaps from closing to where they should be....... has anyone ran into this problem??

A buddy of mine is running a speed demon on his 350. But his carb does not have a choke. We took the carb off and set the transfer slot so .020 was showing and the set the idle using the 4 corner idle screws. I am not sure about you problem but I would like to find out also. What size Demon do you have and how do you like it? We have my buddy's carb about 1/2 way tuned in. We still need to work on the accelertor circuit. It has a slight bog when you first hit it. Good luck and sorry I could not help.
