1405 edelbrock linkage problems

Hi everyone,
i'm finishing up my new 355 and i need to get the linkages situated. I have a 1405 edelbrock carb, and an older wieland intake. I have a mr. gasket mounting bracket, but i'm gonna throw that in the garbage and get the edelbrock one that mounts to the intake bolts.
My biggest problem is the linkage plate on the carb. It doesn't seem to have the right kind of connections on it for the tv cable and throttle cable. Can i take the plate off my old quadrajet, and swap the two, or what can you guys recomend. thanks alot.

Ditch the Mr.Gasket crap, it does not fit all carbs like it claims to. You can use the stock bracket if you bend it forwad a bit and the tv cable will work so will all the other linkage. If I remember correctly I had to buy one peice for the tv cable to attach to the bottem link on the carb, it was $3 at Advanced Auto and looks just like the one on the qjet of course that one isnt removable.
