Holley 80457S 600 CFM, 1 year old (purchansed new from Azone) never ran correctly. Any who I pulled this carb apart and there is no seperator plate (thin) on the secondary metering plate. Supposed to be? or did holley FCKUP???? All the other carbs although not this number Ive pulled down had this plate!

I didn't look too closely at mine, since I was taking it off to do the 4150 conversion, adding a metering block. But as I recall, it has two pieces: The main aluminum piece between the body and fuel bowl, and a thin plate bolted on to it.
Think they'll take it back? Or, are you just going to do the 4150 thing to it?
Thats what I was thinking. I dont know if they will take it back especially since Ive been abusing the comercial warrenty advantage the past couple weeks and burrned some bridges.
This is the same carb I was having starting problems with awhile back with fuel dumping overnight guess we know why now.
I want to convert to 4150 but was just going to toss this one as is (was going to). Do you think the plate from an 1850 is the same? Ive got udles of those laying around.

Well I finnaly got around to it again. I put the plate's from the 1850 in poped it on and no go. It shoots/pours fuel ontop of the secondary throttle blades at a fairly good rate.
What to do now?????????
