deamon carb jetting...

Hey I was wondering what guys are running for jets in there 750 deamons and with what combo's? I have a fairly healthy 383 with afr 195's, hooker lt's, performer rpm air gap, xe294hr cam. I have been dropping jet sizes like mad and it still seems a bit fat, is something wrong with my carb? I now have 68 primary jets and 78 secondaries. 2.5 power valve. I think the thing came with 75 and 83's....... we are around 3000ft here so I know you would have to drop a few jet sizes or are these things just that outta whack? I had a holley 750 on my old vortech 383 and it used biger jets than this one. 69's primary and 80 secondary.

My 750 Speed Demon has the stock jets in it and seems to run a wee bit lean.

Well dude, I have a speed demon 750 cfm carb. From the factory it came with 78pri and 83sec. I called BG and asked what I should run and the said leave them and adjust it with the idle eaze screw. Now I'm no carb expert but no matter how much I fiddled with that godd@mn idle eaze crap it still made my eyes water it was so rich. So make a long story short. Called upon my carb enthusiast and he recommended jetting it like a holley. So at my altitude of 2700ft above sea level I run 69pri and 72sec. So it looks like you are on the right track. You might have more luck with the idle eaze than I did.
