Choke coil adjustment

Hello,

I have a question concerning my choke coil on my E4ME Quadrajet carb.

I can only adjust the spring and turn it (I mean the choke coil) counterclockwise ('cause my choke coil was a bit modified by the previous owner...), but never clockwise.
As I've noticed a lot of E4ME have the choke coil turned clockwise (like on this pic), so I was wondering why I can't do the same thing on my carb.

Are there different models of choke coil ?? I noticed a notch on the choke housing which seems to prevent the choke coil to turn, so how it is done ??

Thanks a lot !!

With a new thermostat.

We're just simple sheep in the emissions era herd. We can't think for ourselves or our air will be dirty. So, keep it where it is or buy a new part.

Would you happen to give me a link for it ??

I've tried Summit, Jeg's, Classic Industries, Year One, GMPartsdirect, Rockauto... and none of them carry this kind of part for factory Quadrajets.

Same thing goes for the choke pull-off, I can't find a place to order a new one.

Thanks !!

NAPA or any other parts store would have it. Maybe carparts.com
