Carter carb rebuild, can i use Edelbrock kit?

I cannot get a carter rebuild kit locally. On summit they are $25.

I get 20% off at advance auto parts. And they have edelbrock rebuild kits. Can i use them instead? They also carry the fuel pressure regulator i need that is a rturn style as well.

So is an edelbrock kit interchangeable?

Why can't you get a kit locally? What brand of rebuild kit does Advance carry?

the only one they show is actual brands. I dont think a carter 9605 came on any vehicles stock to look for their smaller brand of rebuild kits.

The Carter 9605 isn't an OE carb, but parts for it are listed in the catalogs with the OE versions. You could try an Edelbrock kit, chances are it will work. For $25 though I'd just order from Summit if you can't get it anywhere else.

but local its $35, and i save $7 from that, and with the FPR, i save 18, from the $10 extra price tage. So in the long run i save $10, because of shipping and local tax.
