carb flooded?

What do u do when your carb gets flooded?

I had a very high spike in fuel pressure when trying to test it out for the first time and now I am pretty sure my carb got a heavy shot of gas running through it.....I am assuming it is flooded now. I started to get things back to normal by bleading the bowls. But I am lost as to what to do from here on.

The car has never been turned on and every single thing is aftermerket.

It is a holly 750 DP. on a victor jr. intake.

Dry out the intake and pull the plugs to air out the chambers. You don't want to hydrolock the engine on the first rev of the starter. If the fuel loading was really excessive, you may need to change oil. See if the oil level is too high.
