I just bought a carb from this guy and have not notice too many people on this site that runs one of his carburetor. This guy is a pleasure to talk to and his customer service is beyond reaproached. They are a little expensive $699.99, but from what I have read and told by other you cannot go wrong with this guy. I have had too many tuning issue with the Barry Grant Speed Demon 750. I could not get this carb to stop being rich one day, lean the next. The idle would jump all over, but this was the wrong carb for my application. I'm just happy that I will be getting a carb that was built specific for my application and the word is there is little tuning need after Patrick has put his hands on your carb.
Here is an email I got back from Patrick:
Hi David,
For best performance, we can build you one of our XC
series HP double pumpers priced at only $690 that
offers great bang for the buck, incredibly quick
throttle response and can be set up to be perfect for
your application.
It has our adjustable air bleed configuration,
non-stick gaskets, drag float, jet extensions, 1000 HP
size red billet baseplate (for more top end charge) ,
a complete wet-flow portfolio, a real sharp piece with
stepped dog leg boosters, hi-flow needle and seats and
an aggressive race fuel curve. Just bolt on and go.
Typically I see a 10-30 hp improvement over an off the
shelf unit with much better consistency, driveability
and if the need arises you can spray it up to a 350
shot.
We'll size it for the exact cfm range when it is on
the wet flow bench to match your programs needs. But
it'll probably end up being in the 840-860 REAL cfm
range.
Just e or call me with a Credit Card # when you're
ready and I can get it built. We are on a 5-6 day
build time.

This might be a good post to also put in the aftermarket vendor / product board. I've never even heard of this guy/company.
He is well know in the hard-core race community and they love the technical support. I have had a great pre sale customer service and this what happen. I emailed called Patrick Sunday morning and received a reply mid-day which is attached to the orginal post. On Monday i call hin during lunch and he eating nd tell me that he woulod call me back when he get back to the shop. Well i'm on my way to the gym and just figure I would call him back after. Well not so fast grasshopper, He call and leave a message at 1:02 pm then call back about an 1/2 hour later and leave another message to make sure I received the first message, but at that time I was in the shower. I finish my personal hygene and return the call, but get his answering machine saying he on the dyno and would return the call. about 7 minutes later he call me back with the tech sheet that I had email me and talked about the combo and he was going to work late Monday night and get that carb in the mail Tuesday. Yesterday my card get charge and he call me to let me know it will be here Friday. With that being said I think this guy is top notch in not only knowledge but customer service, which is very important. Yes the carb is expensive , but not that much more than a Holley Hp off the shelf. This will be setup on his computer and flowed especially for my combo NOT a generic application as most off the shelf.
Just received my carb today and all I can say is WOW.....
This carb is awesome with a 950Hp main body. He told me it would be close to a 1000 just to get the upper rpm, but im ok with the 950...
I will install it once the weather clear up here in Tx.
