With the plugs out, hold the choke & throttle wide open and crank it over several turns. If more fuel gets into the engine under those conditions, forget it, that carb needs help before it'll run again.
If no fuel gets in under those conditions (except for the accelator pump shot, that is), put the plugs back in, hold the choke wide open, press and hold the throttle to the floor while cranking again. The excess fuel should be cleared from the engine by this time, and it should start.
If fuel has pooled in the intake manifold, you may have to take the carb off and let the manifold dry out. |
