car is dieing in 3rd gear wot

car is dieing in 3rd gear at around 3000 rpm wot and its like it just runs out of gas what do u think could be casing this
by the way mods are
355 engine with 10to1 cr a set of trick flow heads 2.02 1.60 195 runner edelbrook perfrom rpm intake 750 holley msd 8.5 wires summit blueprinted hei dist blue racer .480 cam 4.10 posi rear, 350th with mild shift kit 2200 stall convertor, Heddman 1 5/8 shorty hedders, custom y pipe complete 3 inch ext and flowmasters, 16 degree's advanced timing.

I have seen a plugged fuel filter do this more than once especially at WOT.

That's only one tiny piece of the "system".

Check for crusty buildup in the line in the tank; the sock that is in there; the rubber line at the tank collapsing, or has a hole in it; etc. etc. etc.

Of course, if this was a FI car and the in-tank pump is still there, that could also be the restriction.
