Tv arm and electric choke for carter carb.

at some point over the years, someone ripped out the 305, and plonked in an '76 350 engine in my '85 z-28.

now, on top of the engine, there sits a 750 cfm carter AFB competition carb, connected to a rpm airgap intake manifold (#7501)

for one thing, this is set up with a manual choke, i want electric.
secondly, i am unsure whether or not this has the correct linkage for the tv cable for the th700 tranny.

the carburetor has serial number #9756 s 2865. also there is stamped in 8867 on the top plate.

Does anyone here know if the linkage on this is correct for the th700? and if there is an electric choke kit available?

or should i just toss the entire thing, and order something that is already proper for my setup?

The Carter AFB is nearly identical to the Edelbrock Performer (they're both made under licence by Weber), so most parts should be interchangeable between the two. You can get a Carter or Edelbrock electric choke conversion kit.

The TV cable geometry should look like this:

Again, TV cable brackets and whatnot for the Edelbrock should be usable with your Carter.

aha, so that's why i had trouble finding parts for the thing online... i should look under a different name...

and great picture. explains how it should be very well.

if only i could go outside and measure the thing, but the car is at the other side of the planet right now

now let's see what is available
