Losing power....

Today on my drive home(2hrs) my camaro acted like it wanted to stall on some hills, steep and not so steep. I'll get 1/2 the way up the hill and the car cuts back power, while keeping the accelarator down it begins to rock the car as if it wants to regain power then lose it once again! causing me to pull off the road so not to be a problem for traffic.

305. 5.0 carb

hope this is enough info

What carb... Q-Jet?
Check to see if youre secondarys are opening?
To do this get it on a flat road get in 2nd gear then nail it, You will get 1 boot in the a$$ from when it goes back to first gear then you will get a second one from the secondarys opening.
You will know if they are opening or not .

EDIT: I just thought (if it is misfiring) it may be a damaged plug lead OR the carb is not getting enough fuel under load.

Is it doing anything else?
