Can you use a primary metering block to replace a secondary metering plate??

i have a 3310 and i also have a spare 600 sitting around and i was just wondering if there was a way for me to swap that primary metering block off that 600 and put it in place of my secondary metering plate so that i can tune my carb a lot easier......
