intank pump with lower pressure reg

how well does this setup work i have a walbro 255 i just installed in the tank but i want to go carb now. Will the lower pressure reg work with high hp apps? like over 400hp?

That's what I'm running on my setup. Works fine, i can't really get my psi below 7 though.
