need opinions

Just was givin an edelbrock performer part# 2101 under side of manifold. also I have a brand new 750 holley street avenger on my plow truck that is sitting idle right now. Would this be a good set up on the older 350 4 bolt in my car and will fit under hood with a 14" edelbrock air cleaner I know things are kinda tight. I really!! want to lose the rottenchester.
Thanks
Big Ed

Excuse me, your bias is showing. . .

If you really want to, you can replace the best street performance carb ever made with that truck carb (which is where it really belongs). The benefits will be zero; the penalties will include (but are not limited to) worse fuel economy, fitment issues, conversion costs (you need to change the distributor and provide a means of locking the torque converter clutch), tuning.

The intake manifold will work with either carb.

If you put an open element air cleaner in a 3rd gen, it needs to be drop base; or you need a cowl hood.

Information is a good thing. From your original post, one could assume you had an untouched stock carb.

Why people are afraid of computers is beyond me. I've had several q-jet vehicles over the years, and by far the best one of them all is this 3rd gen computerized q-jet.

I, too, have seen many a q-jet FUBAR'd, typically the center air horn screws left in and the air horn pried up, or air horn screws over torqued.

What it boils down to is what you plan to do with the car. If all you want to do is get it running, and don't mind sharing a carb between the Camaro and the truck, then go for it. If you want both running, you'll have to decide what carb best meets the usage for the car.
