If you really need a sump I would run -8 lines at least. But I would install a bigger motor WAY before worrying about the fuel lines, that size line for a 305 would be overkill. Factory feed line is 3/8" so sumping it to put those lines on would be pointless as it would be the same size.
i the 305 isnt staying much longer and is being swapped for a hot 350 and i plan a little bottle use as well. i will be running an electric fuel pump right off the tank and just thought that this would simplify routingmy fuel lines and look more professional rather than splicing into the factory hard lines and converting to an fittings. would -8 feed and return be adequate for up to 600hp? thats all i need as i am not going to be pushing more than that on spray.
