AFPR Help! Fuel press problems?!?

Well i hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to one of the ports on my afpr, and its not showing any pressure when i turn the key to on, but the pump is on and fuel is dripping from the back two barrels, like its getting too much fuel, or the carb may need work

My mallory afpr instructions say it should be 3psi if backed all the way out, but the gauge is showing 0 psi.

i dont know if my used holley is bad, but the car idles and leaks fuel out of the carb, but i think its because of too much fuel pressure.

should a fuel pressure gauge work just screwed into one of the ports on my mallory 4309 regulator? or should i have to adjust the regulator way down to get it up to start showing pressure

i havent tried starting the car since i installed the gauge, just turning the car to on.
