i have an edelbrock 1406 carb, question on step-up rods

i pulled the top off of my carb today and the step-up rods are both bent a little towards the bottom. it looks like they are both bent the same amount. but i was wondering if they are made to be like that, or did mine get bent?

No they should not be bent at all. Time for new rods. That will mess up your mixture something fierce.

That inevitabley happens when someone tries to force the top on with the rods installed. Fortunately new rods are cheap and available.
