How to Tune the Electronical Quadrajet

Hey,
I'm just about ready to put my Carb'd 305 on the street for the first time and I just want to tune up the carb so my car runs smoothly and performs well. If someone could tell me where/ what each adjustment is on the carb I will tinker with it until I'm happy with it. I know where the Idle control is. Carb is 2 years old with no miles on it, new plugs and wires. Im so happy I'm finally going to get to drive my baby!!!

Re: How to Tune the Electronical Quadrajet

Ive had the car for about 5 years. I've had a few other project cars come and go while this one just sat. I sold all my other cars and am down to two ,Cobalt SS/Sc, and the Camaro. I bought the car for $1200 with a supposed 54k on the clock. The car was originally a 2.8 V6, but somebody swapped a 305 (although I never confirmed it to be a 305, could be 350). The body was always in good shape with the only rust at the A-pillars. All she ever needed was a transmission and I never had the money to get the TCI unit I wanted so it sat. My dad came across a used 700R4 in his travels and got it for me. I was so excited that, two weeks later, i was installing it at the shop where I work with my buddy Travis. Ive never driven her before without having to worry about it shifting or not. Now it shifts fine and strong, although my TV cable needs to be set. So I do have some plans for the car. Im gonna get the engine back up to spec, lose the AC assembly, lose the smog pump and all the emissions equipment. Get rid of the electronic Carb/ Distrib and go old school for tuning purposes. Thats my plans thus far. But before anything, I am just going to enjoy driving my American Muscle!! Wish me good luck, I am going to try to register it Friday!!
