Holley 750dp troubles

I have an 82 Z-28 with a built 350 and the 4 speed manual, I played with the carb today(mech secondaries I think) and did get it to idle pretty steady but now it's back to stalling, surging at idle then stalling, bucking like hell at low rpm cruising, and I cant tell if it's backfiring or if it's the massive *** cam the engine builder put in it. Any idea's? Also I'm using mid length headers and a full accel distributor complete with super coil.

Try going through this http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/ca...ey-tuning.html (Holley Tuning)

If the ignition timing isn't right, nothing much you do with the carb will fix that.

Do you have the cam specs?
