Carb spacer - Carburetors - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I was wondering if it would be wise to invest in a carb spacer for my 4bbl 305 in my '82 Z28. Ive seen on tv that if u dont have a high rise intake they will increase a decent amound of horses and u will feel the difference. I was gonna go with a 1" from edelbrock.

ive had 2 friends that have gotten them one that loved his and another that thought his didn't do anything

supposedly a high rise will take away from torq while having better high range hp while a low rise is better for the low end but how much .... ive never seen any kinda solid numbers on any of it

ive seen them pick... up 12 horsepower on a dyno they can be foud used pretty cheap. id suggest wood...less heat transfer.

I have a 1" spacer on my 350 and I like the difference that it made.

So, I would say go for it.

I have an HVH carb spacer. It works very well.

Ok, ill have to order from summit again then. I just ordered glasspacks and a flexfan spacer.

I dont have nitrous on my car. This will still be affective w/o it?
