carb for 406 with vortec heads
Hello. I am putting together a 406 sbc with vortec heads.It is 9.5 comp,comp extreme 268 cam. pocket ported vortec heads with 1.94 1.60 valves. I am thinking of using a 750 Holley vacume secondary carb. It has a 700r4 with 3.23 posi. Is the carb too big ? Thanks. Bryan

It certainly isn't too big.

Any particular reason you're going with vacuum secondaries? Hopefully not just because you're running an automatic transmission.

Having had both, with a similar cam & displacement, I can say I much, much prefer the DP.

750 proform or quick fuel mechanical secondaries would be my choice 99.999% of the time. Leave the vacuum secondaries for motorhomes and tow vehicles.
