th350 kickdown linkage

At the moment this is the only picture of my carb I have available. I may be able to grab another photo of the carb on the car if need be. Im having a hard time visualizing how the kickdown cable needs to be connected to work properly.

From what I understand, when the linkage is at WOT the cable should be pulled (extended). My problem is that there is no forward motion in the linkage. At the pivot point everything is moving towards the firewall opposite the direction the cable needs to be pulled.

Does my carb not have provisions? Is there a simple bolt on bracket available? Would more photos be helpful?

Re: th350 kickdown linkage

Yeah, it goes on the underside of the throttle arm and yours probably doesn't have provisions for it (I have a DP with the exact same type of throttle arm- and it's a very old carb if it's got that kind of throttle arm/secondary linkage).

They make a bolt-on piece that will give you a location for the kickdown stud. I think Holley makes it, but I can't remember- picked it up several years ago when I put the carb on my buddy's car that used a TH350).

Re: th350 kickdown linkage

any chance this is the correct bracket?

The catalog at the parts store didnt give me much to go on. Just (kickdown bracket for older holley double pumpers). I found it odd that edelbrock makes that part...
