I've never figured out why that adapter thing is needed, I ran mine fine without it.

Re: TV cable corrector....

From what I can tell, to not burn up trans by haveing to much or too little tranny fluid pressure. You have to have the correct geometry to have it work right, supposed to be like 1.125 in from center of throttle shaft or something to work correctly. I believe I will need this too http://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/8036/10002/-1

A TH400 doesn't need a corrector. TH700R-4 does.

I would highly recommend you reconsider your intake and carb choices. Both very poor, IMO.

Re: TV cable corrector....

suggestions then...? What do you think for my TV corrector? All I need is the part that goes on the carb itself, my stock bracket will work on the torker II. My goals for the carb and intake is to be a good consistant daily driver and get Ok. gas mileage

Re: TV cable corrector....

So is this corrector what I need? I have a edel. 600CFM performer carb for this motor. I need to figue out how to adapt my TBI throttle linkage to this edlelbrock carb too.

Also by any chance does anyone know what sockets I need to take out those weird studs holding in my serp., brackets?

Re: TV cable corrector....

Ok so I have the TV button, and it measures the same dist. away from the center shaft as the stock TBI unit. 1.125".

I know I need the throttle cable adapter aswell now. I believe it would go in this hole (pic)......

Also is this the throttle stud you guys would reccomend I buy?

If all you're looking for is a decent daily driver, the carb is okay, but not great. A simple q-jet would be better.

The Torker II is a very poor daily driver intake. It's single plane, which is its first disqualification. It doesn't do anything else well except lower the carb relative to the hood.

Re: TV cable corrector....

actually, I am now running a Edelbrock 600 performer carb. I plan on getting a performer RPm intake, dual plane later.
