I just put a holly 600 on my 82 firebird and found that there isn't a linkage to install the kickdown cable. Is there a kit that I can buy that will have the linkage to run the kickdown cable? Not sure of the modle number so I'll have to repost that info. If there is anyone out there that can help please get back to me. Thanks guys.
Dan
Just to make sure you get started off on the right path, it's much more than a "kick-down" cable. It's a "throttle valve" cable, and needs to follow the throttle properly in order to give the transmission the right information to work on. Don't get it right, and internal transmission pressures will be wrong, and could burn up your transmission.

Is there a way to adjust it so that I dont burn up the tranny? I really want to take the time to do this right so I dont mess anything up dont have the $$$ to redo a mess up if you know what I mean.
Thanks Dan

Thanks Dan

The TH350 does have a kickdown cable, and its operation is much less critical than the 700R4's TV cable.
Are you sure it's a TH350 and not a TH200c?
No sir I'm not sure that it is a th-350. is there a difference in the tranny pans? the pan that I have under there looks like a square with one side cut off. does the th200c look the same. if so how do I tell the difference?
Thanks Dan
A 200c could have been stock for the car. It also has the square pan with the corner cut off. How many bolts are holding the pan on? If it's 11, it's a 200, if it's 13 it's a 350.
The TH200c does have a TV cable instead of a regular kick-down-only cable.

Well I'll have to look tomorrow and see what I have. I'm pretty sure that it is stock. So you could be right( which I'm sure that you are).will the plate that five7kid linked to me work for it?
Thank you guys so very much for the help I love Thirdgen.org
