Throttle cable too short!!!

Hey guys, I swapped my cfi for an edelbrock intake and carb. Ordered a new throttle cable and it is about 1/4 inch too short. Now what do I do? I refuse to grind on the $50 throttle cable bracket. Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Rod

Re: Throttle cable too short!!!

1/8th of an inch.. Shoot Just bend the bracket some, A bench vice and a pair of pliers shoul work. Just make sure you are not at an akward angle and rubbing the cable.

Re: Throttle cable too short!!!

Thanks guys. I went ahead and installed it as-is and I think I can adjust the idle with the mixture screws and not have to fuss too much with the idle screw.
