Alright...
I'm rebuilding my 350 and the engine had an Edelbrock carb on her when I bought the car. I need a rebuild kit for it but I'm having a hard time figuring out what carb I actually have so that I can get the right kit. I could only find 3 numbers on the carb itself. I know this is hard to explain but on the driver sie of the carb toward the front of the car where the carb bolts to the intake I found the number 6904MB then on the front of the carb is where the paper fuel filter is located. ON top of the section where the fuel filter is i found the numbers 7454 and then under those numbers i found 0581. The plate that is bolted to the carb for the air cleaner is stamped Edelbrock and then the actual Carb has Holley stamped on it. anyways Just hoping someone can help me out here... thanks
Pics would probably help. My guess (and I know very little about carbs) is that someone mixed and matched parts. Try getting ahold of a tech at edelbrock or holley, tell them whats up, and give them your numbers. Might help, can't hurt.
That doesn't sound like an Edelbrock carb. Can you get a picture?
I will try to get some pictures up by tonight. I've searched all over the place and the only thing that comes remotely close is the 6904MB. When I match this with Holley I get different carbs but never anything that matches this particular carb. Like I said though I'll try to get some pics up tonight

Hey just wanted to let you know I found out what it was from one of the Moderators. Sorry I never got those pics up though
Never actually found out what exactly it was. Just know that it wasn't what I wanted to keep. I thought it may have been around 600 CFM but the moderator said it was only around 450 and that it was supposed to be an economical replacement, but since I found out that it wasn't what I wanted i decided to get a new one. Going with the Holley 4777 model; 650cfm
Holley made a spreadbore replacement back in the 70's that was supposed to offer better economy. It was mechanical secondaries, but since the secondaries were so small, it didn't even need an accelerator pump or air valve. Someone had put one on the '66 Impala that my 396 came out of. Ran a whole lot better when I put a q-jet back on it. Put the Holley on a '71 GMC pickup 350 that I then sold, worked fine on that vehicle.
