Car: 1992 Camaro RS 25th Anniversary Engine: Vortec 350 Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: 3.73s | Holley 650 Throttle Issue | Hey guys I just got my motor running again after my blown head gasket problem, and i came across a small problem with the throttle bracket on my carb. I have the autozone springs that are really strong and worked fine previously until we put this thing back together. Its the one that has a big spring and a smaller spring inside of it. But when you rev up the engine the idle will come back down normally, but it wont COMPLETELY go all the way back. the pedal on the floor is not causing the problem either. It will idle at 1550, and the throttle will go completely back on its own 5 or so seconds later and it will drop to 1100. But i mean its maybe sticking like a few mm's you cant visually see it, but when you put pressure on it with your finger, or pull the pedal the idle will drop. The springs are strong too i have no idea why it would be doing that. I tried putting the springs in a different hole on the bracket but it did nothing. Anybody else experience this with there Holley? | | |
