Carb adjustment or Timing Not Right

So I had my motor rebuilt last year (v8 305 4 barrell carb) Crane Wolverine Cam. Minor head work. Car was idling a little rough so played around with the adjusting the carb today and tweaked the timing a bit. Idles very smooth now but seems to have lost it's response when I hit the gas. Just falls on itself. Is this a timing issue or adjustment on the carb ? Thanks...

Without knowing what you did with either, it's impossible to say.

I've found setting the carb to factory has always produced the best results. A little advanced timing, as long as you don't get pinging, seems to help responsiveness.

Re: Carb adjustment or Timing Not Right

I agree, just sounds like you need to advance the timing.
Do you have a cc distributor and carb?
